Hyderabad: DGP releases former cop Tirupati Reddy’s book on policing
The book 'Adarsha Pathamulo Police - Samagra Parishilana' has complete and detailed information on the police system in the State and is useful not only for the police personnel, but also for citizens, the DGP said

Hyderabad: It is the duty of every police officer to work for the safety and security of citizens, Director General of Police M. Mahender Reddy said here on Tuesday.
Speaking at the release of the book ‘Adarsha Pathamulo Police – Samagra Parishilana’ authored by retired police officer, Peddi Reddy Tirupati Reddy, the DGP said the book details how the police system should become part of the populace and discharge its duties. The book has complete and detailed information on the police system in the State and is useful not only for the police personnel, but also for citizens. Every one in the police department, from Home Guard to the seniormost official, must read this book, he said.
The DGP appreciated Tirupati Reddy for effectively conveying the message that the services of police should be citizen-centric. Road accidents were claiming 1.5 lakh lives in the country, he said, while appreciating the author for releasing another book on how to investigate cases of accidents and how those causing the accidents should be punished.
Introducing the book, Additional DG Shivdhar Reddy said steps would be taken up to serialise Tirupati Reddy’s book in Suraksha magazine. Tirupati Reddy said he has incorporated various aspects that help the citizens and society in his book.
The book release function was attended by senior police officials including Rajiv Ratan, Umesh Shroff, Sandeep Shandilya, Bala Nagadevi, Swati Lakra, Nagi Reddy, Stephen Ravindra and others.
