CV Anand appointed Telangana DGP

Anand is currently working as the Special Secretary, Home Department, Government of Telangana. He is a receipient of the President’s Gallantry Medal in 2002

Hyderabad: The State government on Tuesday appointed 1991 batch IPS officer CV Anand as the Director General of Police.

Anand is currently working as the Special Secretary, Home Department, Government of Telangana. He previously worked as Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, and Cyberabad and also served as Director General, Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau.

He received the President’s Gallantry Medal in 2002. He worked in many Naxal-affected areas in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.

The present DGP B Shivadhar Reddy will retire this month-end on superannuation.
