Hyderabad: Police officials have stepped up vigil across the State to strictly implement the lockdown, with top cops in the capital region warning people that any unwarranted movement on the roads after 10 am would be dealt with strictly. In tweets on Friday, the Telangana State Police, Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar and Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat, among other senior officials said the implementation of the lockdown would be strict from Saturday and that vehicles of those coming out without valid reasons would be seized.
Bhagwat said unwarranted movement of youth was seen on the roads during the lockdown after 10 am. From Saturday, vehicles would be strictly checked and seized, he said. Anjani Kumar, stating that many people were not serious about the lockdown, said such people were exposing society to the threat of the coronavirus by casual movements on road. “This is a warning that we will be very firm from May 22. After 10 am, do not come out of your house,” he tweeted.
