Hyderabad: An entrepreneur Megha Dinesh launched her memoir ‘The Rise of Shakti’ at an event held here on Saturday.
The memoir presents an unfiltered narrative — one that traces Megha’s personal healing, her reflections on the quiet conditioning of women, and the often invisible battles fought while building wellness spa chains, Meghavi Wellness, with more than 80 per cent of them women.
The book was launched in the presence of Special Chief Secretary to Government (IT and Industries) Jayesh Ranjan and CID & Women Safety Wing DG Shikha Goel.
In her speech, Megha touched upon the struggles of building something from scratch — without legacy or cushion — as a first-generation entrepreneur.
Shikha Goel, who unveiled the book and penned its foreword, called it “a mirror that reflects our own strength and vulnerability”, adding that Megha’s courage lies not just in telling her story, but in owning it with honesty.
Jayesh Ranjan commended Megha’s boldness in bringing such personal and socially relevant themes to the forefront. “It is rare to see a book blend personal truth with social commentary in a way that feels so accessible and deeply thought-provoking. This is a much-needed voice,” he added.
