Hyderabad: Having recorded a hat-trick of victories, Hyderabad suffered a setback when they went down to ATK Mohun Bagan 2-1 in their previous outing. The table toppers do not have much time to ponder on the loss as they will be seen in action on Friday when they take on in-form Bengaluru FC.

Though Hyderabad are currently placed at the top of the table with 26 points, little separates the teams in the race to the top 4 that is set for a close finish. Hyderabad coach Manolo Marquez is aware of the fact and hopes his side returns to winning ways quickly to consolidate the top position.

The 53-year-old Marquez said he was not happy with the way they played in the first half against Mohun Bagan. “We didn’t play well in the first half. The team was scared. We lost easy balls and passed them to the opponents. We started well in the second half after they scored two goals. We had clear chances. But in the last five minutes and in the injury time, we didn’t attack,” he said.

However, the Spaniard said there is nothing to press the panic button. “It is the first game we lost in the second leg. It is impossible to win every game. Football is like that. We lost against a very strong side. Now, we have to be focused on the Bengaluru team. We still have five games to play and fight for the top 4 and the championship is still open for a lot of teams.”

Speaking about the Bengaluru side, who are unbeaten in their last nine games, Marquez said, “We cannot think about how many points we have. We have to play against Bengaluru and see what happens. If we win, we will see things in a different way. Nothing will be decided Till the last round. It will be a difficult game for both of us. They have good players and are strong in some aspects. But we are in our best shape performance wise.”
