Hyderabad: A female junior artiste approached the Jubilee Hills police alleging she was raped and impregnated by an associate director who promised her roles in movies.
The 35-year-old married woman from Karnataka, who has an eight-year-old son, lodged a complaint against the suspect, Shaik Ghouse Moinuddin alias Chinna, who works as an associate director in the Telugu film industry.
According to the police, Chinna lured the victim with promises of securing film opportunities. Trusting him, she agreed to meet him and came to the city along with her son.
However, Chinna took advantage of the situation, kept her in a rented house in Yousufguda and raped her on the promise of marriage. Based on the woman’s complaint, a case of rape and cheating was booked and efforts are on to nab the suspect.
