Hyderabad: The job market in Hyderabad is all set to grow further and the Information Technology (IT) sector could propel this growth.

As per a report by TeamLease, employers’ intent-to-hire in Hyderabad has gone up by 12 per cent. While the intent-to-hire was 41 per cent in July-September quarter of 2021-22, it has gone up to 53 per cent in October-December 2021-22 quarter.

Even though Hyderabad was at third place in terms of intent-to-hire trends, it saw the highest jump from the previous July-September quarter. Employers’ intent-to-hire in Bengaluru was at 67 per cent with just 7 per cent increase from the previous quarter and Delhi was at 59 per cent with just 8 per cent increase.

TeamLease’s Employment Outlook Report for Q3 also highlights that Information Technology, BPOs and ITeS, and Healthcare and Pharmaceutical are the top sweet spots in Hyderabad. Pan-India, the IT sector saw the highest intent-to-hire with 69 per cent employers looking to offer jobs in the October to December quarter. This was followed by educational services at 64 per cent and healthcare and pharmaceuticals at 61 per cent.

In terms of job level, entry and junior-level employees are being preferred the most with 34 per cent intent-to-hire shown by employers. The report also mentioned that hiring for mid-level seems to have consolidated and senior-level hiring has plateaued with most organisations achieving steady states, and focus shifting to modes of operation rather than business transformation.

“Considerations of back to work and hybrid work models, following accelerated and large scale vaccination campaigns across the country have boosted hiring intent in general across different business sizes,” the report informed.
