Hyderabad: Five electrocuted during chariot procession at Ramanthapur
Five people were electrocuted and four injured during a Sri Krishnashtami chariot procession in Gokulenagar, Hyderabad, when the chariot came into contact with live wires while being pushed manually. Police are investigating the incident.

Hyderabad: A Sri Krishnashtami chariot procession turned tragic at Gokulenagar in Ramanthapur on Sunday midnight when five people were electrocuted and four others suffered injuries.
The incident occurred after the vehicle pulling the decorated chariot broke down. A group of youths attempted to push it manually, during which the chariot reportedly came in contact with overhead live electric wires.
As per available information, nine people suffered electric shocks, and despite locals rushing to their rescue and shifting them to hospital, five were declared dead by the doctors in the hospital.
The victims were identified as Krishna Yadav (21), Suresh Yadav (34), Srikanth Reddy (35), Rudra Vikas (39), and Rajendra Reddy (15).
Four others injured in the mishap are undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Their condition is said to be stable. The police are investigating.
