Hyderabad: Former IAS officer B Danam passed away at his residence in Hyderabad on Saturday. He served as a civil servant in various capacities in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, and strived hard for upliftment of Dalit and Bahujan communities.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao expressed grief over the demise of the retired IAS officer B Danam who worked to bring a qualitative development in the lives of Dalit and Bahujan community people. He recalled that Danam as Principal Secretary to various departments in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh government and also as president of Dr Ambedkar People’s Educational Trust had served the Dalits, Bahujans and the minorities. He extended his condolences to members of the bereaved family.
