Hyderabad: Freemasons help underprivileged to regain livelihood
Taken up at a cost of Rs 1.10 lakh, this project, titled 'Gift a Livelihood', was organised at Goshamahal Baradari Masonic Hall on the eve of Universal Brotherhood Day
Hyderabad: The Freemasons of Telangana on Thursday provided tools and equipment to 21 underprivileged petty-traders, self-employed and homemakers, to enable them regain their livelihood that they lost due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
A teacher-turned-tailor, security guard turned tea vendor, industrial worker turned tiffin centre organiser and a couple of students turned tailors were among the beneficiaries of this initiative that will ensure their financial independence in the near future. Tool-kits, sewing machines and pushcarts were given to the tailors, tea and fruit vendors, mechanics and electricians. Taken up at a cost of Rs 1.10 lakh, this project, titled ‘Gift a Livelihood’, was organised at Goshamahal Baradari Masonic Hall on the eve of Universal Brotherhood Day.
