Hyderabad: It’s not only the famous Balapur Ganesh laddu that fetched a staggering Rs 18.90 lakh. The laddu in My Home Bhooja in Madhapur was auctioned for Rs 18.5 lakh, with the successful bid being made by Vijay Bhasker Reddy.
In My Home Vihanga, Financial District, Gurupreet Kapoor won the bid for laddu at Rs 5.1 lakh. In other housing societies too, laddus were auctioned at winning amounts ranging from Rs 25,000 to Rs 3 lakh.
“The successful bidder has decided to donate the money to the Amma Foundation. Gurupreet Kapoor will hand over the cheque to society members,” said Praveen Rao, secretary of My Home Vihanga.
