Hyderabad: GHMC, Collectorate hold Prajavani after MCC lifted

Following the Election Commission’s lifting of the MCC, GHMC and Hyderabad Collectorate organised ‘Prajavani’ to receive petitions. Officials received 67 at GHMC main office, 105 across zones, and 161 at the Collectorate, while Hyderabad Disaster Response got 52 petitions

Hyderabad: After the Election Commission of India lifted the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) on Monday, GHMC and the Hyderabad Collectorate organised ‘Prajavani’ on their premises and accepted petitions. GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan, received a total of 67 petitions, and another 105 were received in all six Zonal Offices of the GHMC.

Hyderabad Additional Collector, Kadhiravan Palani, took part in ‘Prajavani’ held at the Hyderabad Collectorate, Lakdikapul, and received 161 petitions from petitioners representing different areas in the Hyderabad district.


Meanwhile, the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency received a total of 52 petitions in ‘Prajavani’ held at Budha Bhavan. The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency Commissioner, A V Ranganath, interacted with the petitioners.
