Telangana government employees staged lunch-hour demonstrations across Hyderabad and district offices on Friday, demanding implementation of the Second Pay Revision Commission, release of pending pension dues worth ₹13,000 crore and rollout of the Old Pension Scheme.
Following the Election Commission’s lifting of the MCC, GHMC and Hyderabad Collectorate organised ‘Prajavani’ to receive petitions. Officials received 67 at GHMC main office, 105 across zones, and 161 at the Collectorate, while Hyderabad Disaster Response got 52 petitions
In a move to make citizen services more accessible, the Hyderabad District Collectorate has launched a dedicated WhatsApp service for senior citizens and Divyangjans who are unable to attend the weekly Prajavani meetings. They can now send petitions remotely, which will be registered digitally and tracked via an ID.
