Hyderabad: GHMC seals unauthorised Pavilion restaurant in Jubilee Hills
GHMC sealed the unauthorised Pavilion Restaurant in Jubilee Hills for operating without permission in a residential zone. Action followed High Court orders and previous complaints. The property was shut with police support to prevent disturbances, confirming ongoing illegal commercial activity

Hyderabad: GHMC town planning officials sealed an unauthorised Pavilion Restaurant in Jubilee Hills on June 21. Based on the High Court Orders, the property has been sealed, GHMC town planning, deputy commissioner of Jubilee Hills, V Samiah, told Telangana Today.
“An unauthorised structure operating on the name ‘Pavilion Restaurant’, located at Road No 51, (Plot No. 1014C), Jubilee Hills Cooperative Society, was sealed on Saturday by the Town Planning Department, Jubilee Hills. We have taken Police Department’s help to avoid any untoward incidents occurred at the time of sealed the property,” said the official.
“This action has been taken in accordance with the orders issued by the High Court on 04-03-2025, in WP No 6352/2025, filed by Mohan Rao Chepyala,” according to an official release issued by the deputy commissioner, Jubilee Hills. Multiple complaints had been received against this construction in the past, and notices were issued by the Town Planning wing in 2019, it said adding that detailed enquiries were conducted under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner on March 13 and 16.
“During our enquiry, we confirmed that operating a restaurant without the requisite permissions and carrying out commercial activities in a residential zone is strictly illegal,” said the GHMC official.
