Hyderabad: Young India Skills University Vice Chancellor VL Subba Rao on Friday emphasized the necessity for adopting a sustainable lifestyle and recognizing it as a shared responsibility.

Addressing the two-day national seminar titled ‘Sustainable Economic Growth– Innovations, Infrastructure and Industrialization’ at Government City College here, Rao said development in policies, industries, and education systems must align with modern advancements without harming future generations.

Osmania University Registrar Prof. G Naresh Reddy underscored the interconnectedness of economic growth and environmental sustainability. He warned that human actions were depleting natural resources and that uncontrolled development leads to severe environmental damage.

City College Principal Prof. P. Bala Bhaskar said that the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals were a key focus in India’s development efforts.

The seminar organised by the Department of Commerce and Management will see 240 scholars, faculty, and research students presenting papers online and offline over two days.
