Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at KPHB Colony Road No. 5 after a group of hostel residents allegedly attacked a local family, including a woman on Tuesday night.

According to police, the dispute began over parking issues, as the family had repeatedly asked hostel residents not to park their bikes in front of their house.

Despite several complaints, the hostel management failed to take action. Matters escalated when a bike seat cover was found cut, prompting nearly 30 youths from the hostel to assault the family.

The KPHB police have registered a case and are investigating.
