Hyderabad: The Madras Reading Company is presenting a conversation featuring Madhu Ranganthan’s book ‘The Child Who Never Knew’ on special needs children, on September 30 at 3 pm at Hyatt Hyderabad, Gachibowli.
Madhu will be in conversation with Upasana Mahtani, Book Reporter, Founder of The Madras Reading Company (TMRC), and mother of a child with special needs. This inclusive Hyderabad event aims to highlight, support, and empower special needs organisations and families.
‘The Child Who Never Knew’ chronicles the journey of author Madhu Ranganthan’s daughter, Sitara. Now 37 years old, Sitara was diagnosed with toxoplasmosis at birth and given a prognosis of a very short life. Despite living with multiple disabilities, blindness, and extreme medical complexities, she has shown incredible resilience.
This book is a testament of gratitude to the entire special needs ecosystem, a source of hope and inspiration for grandparents, women, siblings, caretakers, and many others and a voice to ignite empathy across our communities.
