Hyderabad: The Telangana Academy of Forensic Medicine organized a 5K marathon, “Run for Health, Run for Justice,” on Monday. The event witnessed nearly 300 participants, including doctors, professors, students, families and health-conscious citizens, gathering in the early morning hours at Necklace Road.
The participants included 25 to 30 children who enthusiastically took part in the event, transforming the marathon from merely a health awareness programme into a symbol of hope for the next generation.
“For perhaps the first time, the forensic fraternity stepped forward publicly not merely as investigators of death, but as ambassadors of prevention, health awareness and positive social change. The significance of this initiative goes far beyond a single event,” said Dr G Mahender MD, Associate Professor, Department of Forensic Medicine, Qutbullapur Medical College and General Secretary, Telangana Academy of Forensic Medicine.
