Hyderabad: Intermediate student dies by suicide amid exam stress
A 17-year-old Intermediate student allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Chiryala village, Keesara, Hyderabad. Police said he was distressed after struggling with three examinations.

Hyderabad: A 17-year-old Intermediate student allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Chiryala village in Keesara on the outskirts of the city on Thursday.
The victim was identified as Gautham Reddy, a first-year Intermediate student residing in SLNS Colony in Chiryala.
According to the police, he was studying at Bhavan’s College. Gautham Reddy reportedly died by hanging at his house when family members were not around.
Preliminary inquiries by the police indicate that the student had been under stress after he was unable to write three of his examinations properly. Believed to be upset over his academic performance, he is suspected to have taken the extreme step.
After being alerted, the Keesara police reached the spot and shifted the body for an autopsy.
A case has been registered and further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the incident.
