Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Task Force along with the Afzalgunj police on Tuesday arrested a man from Andhra Pradesh, who was wanted in several drug cases, and seized 40 kg of marijuana worth Rs 4 lakh from him.

The arrested, V Naga Sai (24), from Visakhapatnam, was booked in several cases in Amberpet, Malakpet and Afzalgunj. City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said Naga Sai had created a WhatsApp group with local agents, interstate drug peddlers and provided them marijuana.
“Whenever other peddlers contacted him for huge quantities of marijuana, he contacted cultivators, local agents and after fixing a deal with smugglers, arranged the stuff on a commission basis,” Anjani Kumar said.

“Investigation indicates that he had several contacts with drug peddlers from Telangana, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and other States and was supplying drugs to them,” the Commissioner said.

Following a tip-off, police arrested Naga Sai when he reached the Central Bus Station to deliver drugs to one Prem Singh.
