Hyderabad: Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), as part of its CSR activity, donated high-end medical equipment worth Rs 50 lakh to the Government ENT Hospital, Koti.

The donated equipment includes a BERA machine, which helps doctors diagnose hearing loss, an M320 surgical microscope, and a flexible laryngoscope. The equipment was handed over by Piyush Mittal, Executive Director and Head of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for IOCL, to the ENT Hospital.

According to officials, the new equipment will significantly enhance the hospital’s diagnostic and surgical capabilities, particularly for cochlear implantation and treatment of nasolaryngeal cancers. At ENT Koti, around 20 to 25 cochlear implant surgeries are performed free of cost every month, while nearly 1,500 patients visit the hospital daily for OPD consultations, a press release said.
