Hyderabad: Mandadi Jyothi Reddy, a jeweller from the city, has bagged the American Telugu Association (ATA) Women Achievers Award 2021 in the area of business. The award, presented to her on the occasion of International Women’s Day, is in recognition of her exemplary work as a jeweller, for 19 years now.
Having started off by doing a certification course from Hyderabad Institute of Gems and Jewellery, she single-handedly started her jewellery store – Jyothi Jewellers and rose steadily through the years. Known for offering new and unique designs with high quality gold, Jyothi reached the pinnacle of success in her field with her hard work and grit.
Apart from being a businesswoman, she is also a philanthropist, as her innate zeal to work for the underprivileged and for women empowerment enabled her to take up various causes, including financially assisting several orphanages in the city in addition to sponsoring the education of several girl children and lending a hand in girls’ marriages.
She is also a yoga expert and is known for advising on nutrition and counselling on various family issues.
