Hyderabad: Protests rocked the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) and Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday with junior lecturer and Group-IV job aspirants staging a demonstration.
The junior lecturer job aspirants tried to besiege the TGPSC office in Nampally demanding the release of final results of the recruitment examination. They wanted the Commission to expedite the selection process and complete it before Dasara.

The Commission had released the notification for recruitment to 1,392 junior lecturer posts in 2022, the exams were conducted last year and certificate verification was also completed. However, the candidates lamented that the TGPSC did not notify the final results. The candidates wanted the government to initiate steps and ensure that appointment letters for junior lecturer posts be given along with the DSC candidates.

Meanwhile, the Group-IV aspirants also tried to besiege Gandhi Bhavan as part of their protest demanding the announcement of the final results of the Group-IV recruitment examination. The aspirants lamented that despite two months into the conclusion of certificates verification, the final appointment letters were yet to be issued.

The protesters questioned the government over a two-year delay in completing recruitment to 8,000 Group-IV posts when it had completed 11,000 teacher posts recruitment in just 57 days. They demanded the completion of final selection before Dasara and wanted appointment letters, along with the DSC candidates. The protesters were detained by police.
