The Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) on Thursday published a provisional selection list of 8,084 candidates for recruitment to Group - IV posts.

Despite close to 490 days into exam and two months in certificate verification, candidates await final selection list and appointment orders

In a letter to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Dr. Kumar said candidates who figured in the 1:3 general ranking list have been preparing for various competitive examinations since several years.

The certificate verification will be conducted at Government ENT Hospital in Koti from July 11 to September 4.

All candidates have been advised to obtain required certificates pertaining to EWS (for year 2021 to 2022), community, non-creamy layer for BCs, PwD, and study/residency (class to VII).

With no assurance from the TSPSC officials, the aspirants are planning to approach the High Court

A total of 72, 6837 candidates have been admitted to the general ranking list, which has been made available on the Commission’s website

After verifying the objections, the officials removed eight questions from Paper-I and changed the options for another eight questions. From Paper-II, two questions were removed and the options for five questions were changed.

TSPSC had notified 8,180 vacancies under the Group-IV services in various departments for direct recruitment

As per the government directions, the district collectors issued separate order declaring holiday for the educational institutions on Saturday

Further, the Commission instructed candidates to wear chappal only but not shoes to centres

A total of 7,41,159 candidates applied for the notification till the last count on Saturday.

The Commission had issued the recruitment notification to fill up 8,039 vacancies under the Group-IV services.

From Friday, the TSPSC will also start accepting online applications for the 9,168 posts under the Group-IV services for which the notification was issued at the starting of this December.

The last date to apply is up to 5 pm on January 19.

These posts include six new categories of posts that were added to the Group-II services by the State government by amending the GO No.55.

The Ward Officer post is newly incorporated in the Telangana Ministerial Services with different roles and responsibilities at the ward level.

The Commission will issue department-wise notifications soon. Officials were instructed to give complete details of vacant posts including department-wise posts of junior accountant and junior assistant posts.
