Hyderabad: KPHB police nab woman for theft of gold ornaments in jewellery shops
The woman Putta Sunitha (40), a resident of Miyapur, disguised as a customer went to a jewellery store at KPHB on Saturday and on pretext of buying ornaments diverted the attention of salesman.

Hyderabad: The KPHB police on Tuesday arrested a woman who had allegedly committed theft of gold ornaments at jewellery shops after diverting the attention of salesmen.
The woman Putta Sunitha (40), a resident of Miyapur, disguised as a customer went to a jewellery store at KPHB on Saturday and on pretext of buying ornaments diverted the attention of salesman. While the salesman was busy showing the ornaments the woman took away a necklace weighing seven tolas and escaped from the place, said Kukatpally ACP, K Srinivas Rao.
On a complaint, the police formed special teams and caught the woman. On interrogation the women revealed about her involvement in four cases. The woman was arrested and produced before the court. She was remanded and sent to jail.
