Vamshi Krishna Hyderabad student aces Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission Combined Examination

Hyderabad: Bhonagiri Vamshi Krishna from Balanagar, Hyderabad, excelled in the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission combined examination by securing 16th position in the overall final merit list. He qualified as District Land Revenue and Settlement Officer. The examination was notified in July last year.

Out of 30,000 candidates who appeared for the preliminary examination held in November last year, 1,500 were declared qualified for the main exam. Later on, interviews were conducted for 141 aspirants who had qualified at the main, and the final list was declared recently.

In the examination, 80 per cent of the vacancies were reserved for locals and non-locals like Vamshi Krishna could compete along with the locals in the balance of 20 per cent.
Vamshi Krishna who belongs to Nalgonda district was a student of TVR Model High School, Jeedimetla and did his graduation in BCom from Osmania University and enrolled for an MA in Public Administration from IGNOU.

According to Vamshi Krishna, his preparation for civil services helped him crack the examination. He took his coaching from Brain Tree for the civil services examination with Public Administration as an optional.

“I decided to take Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission combined examination to know where I stand in the competitive exams. Earlier, I appeared for the civil services examination in 2019 and 2020 but missed two marks. I will join the job but I will continue my preparation for the civil services exam,” he said.

“We always advise all aspirants to appear at State service examinations. Most of the students appear only at the examinations of the State to which they belong,” said Gopalakrishna, Director, Brain Tree.
