MMC launches EV fogging machines to fight mosquito menace

The Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation Commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy and L B Nagar MLA D Sudheer Reddy have introduced 10 advanced EV-based fogging machines to combat mosquito breeding in Hyderabad. These machines can cover 150 kilometres in a single operation and run continuously for over six hours.

Hyderabad: The Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy and LB Nagar MLA Devireddy Sudheer Reddy
launched 10 advanced EV fogging machines for mosquito control, with the initiative aimed at eradicating the mosquito menace within three to six months.

The Commissioner said the fogging machines, mounted on modern electric vehicles, were introduced to implement mosquito control measures more effectively. He said 10 advanced fogging units were launched in the first phase, with plans to extend the facility to all 74 wards in the future. He said the machines would currently be used in the LB Nagar and Saroornagar circles, and would be integrated with the complaint resolution system.


A press release said that the machines were designed with advanced German technology and operated faster and more efficiently than traditional methods. He said they could cover about 150 kilometres in a single operation and could work continuously for more than six hours.
