Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Traffic Police on Tuesday enabled the transportation of a live organ (lungs) by providing a green channel from Kamineni Hospital in LB Nagar to KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad.
The ambulance carrying the organ started from Kamineni Hospital at 11.28 am and reached KIMS Hospital at 11.43 am, covering a distance of 17.6 kms within 15 minutes and without any traffic obstructions. The hospital managements appreciated the Rachakonda Traffic Police for saving the life of a patient. Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat also appreciated the staff for their efforts.
