Hyderabad: LunAres Research Station appoints Mohana Sai Akula as LunAres Ambassador for India
Mohana Sai currently in the final year of his Master’s in Astrobiology and Space Science from Amity University, Maharashtra, and is the first Astrobiology student from Telangana, belonging to the first batch of nine students enrolled in this programme in India.
Hyderabad: Mohana Sai Akula, a young and passionate space enthusiast from Telangana, has been appointed as the LunAres Ambassador for India by the LunAres Research Station, one of leading analog habitats that conducts human spaceflight studies.
The role involves representing the LunAres mission, advocating for space research, and fostering collaborations between the Indian and international space communities.
Mohana Sai currently in the final year of his Master’s in Astrobiology and Space Science from Amity University, Maharashtra, and is the first Astrobiology student from Telangana, belonging to the first batch of nine students enrolled in this programme in India.
As the LunAres Ambassador for India, he will promote participation in upcoming analog missions, recommend potential candidates, and facilitate international exposure for Indian space enthusiasts and professionals.
With World Space Week (October 4 to 10), the largest space event globally, just around the corner, Mohana Sai is excited to share insights on the importance of analog missions for space research and exploration. “It is an immense honour to represent India on such a global platform,” he says.
