Hyderabad: Major fire breaks out at plywood godown in Katedan industrial area
A massive fire broke out at a plywood godown in Katedan Industrial Area, Mailardevpally, on Sunday afternoon. Fire tenders from multiple stations rushed to the spot. No casualties were reported, and officials suspect a short circuit triggered the blaze
Hyderabad: A major fire broke out at a plywood godown at Katedan in Mailardevpally on Sunday afternoon. No casualties were reported in the incident so far.
According to the fire officials, the fire started at the plywood godown located in the Katedan Industrial Area. Huge smoke was billowing out of the fire. The fire spread rapidly due to a stock of combustible material in the godown.
On information, fire tenders from Chandrayangutta, Rajendranagar and other fire stations rushed to the spot, and the fire fighters started the operation to douse the fire.
The Mailardevpally police reached the spot and assisted the firemen in the operation. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. However, officials suspect the fire started following a short circuit in the godown.
