Hyderabad: 6 injured in gas leak at Kokapet restaurant

The incident occurred around 6 pm, reportedly when workers, including those belonging to GAR, were taking up works related to gas pipeline fixture and other interiors at the restaurant in GAR Infobahn Towers

Hyderabad: Six persons were reportedly injured due to a gas wave exerted from a gas pipeline at a restaurant located on the ground floor of the GAR Infobahn Towers in Kokapet in Narsingi on the city suburb on Saturday evening.

The incident occurred around 6 pm, reportedly when workers, including those belonging to GAR, were taking up works related to gas pipeline fixture and other interiors at the restaurant.

As per available information, the injured persons, all workers, were immediately rescued by their colleagues and shifted to Continental Hospital for treatment. The health condition of one of them is said to be critical.

On receiving information, the Narsingi police and Fire Department officials reached the spot and took up rescue operation. The gas was contained and situation was brought under control.

GAR Towers houses several IT companies. The Narsingi police are investigating.
