Panic gripped residents of an apartment building in Somajiguda, Hyderabad, after a fire broke out on the fifth floor on Sunday evening. Officials said the occupants rushed out upon noticing smoke, while fire tenders arrived promptly and doused the blaze within an hour.
A major fire broke out at DuroDine Industries in Sanathnagar in the early hours of Thursday, destroying property worth several lakhs. The blaze, which began in the packing godown, was controlled after six hours with help from a firefighting robot.

Sources said the mishap occurred when the lorry carrying a load of fisheries products from Narsapur in Andhra Pradesh to Hyderabad collided with another vehicle.
