Hyderabad: Malkajgiri court grants CID six-day custody of HCA president and others
A Malkajgiri court granted six-day police custody of HCA president Jagan Mohan Rao and four others to the CID in connection with alleged fund misappropriation and document forgery. The accused were arrested last week following a complaint by Telangana Cricket Association
Hyderabad: The Malkajgiri court on Wednesday granted six-day police custody of Jagan Mohan Rao, president of HCA and others to Crime Investigation Department.
The CID had filed a petition in the court seeking custody of Jagan Mohan Rao, JS Srinivasa Rao, Treasurer of HCA, Sunil Kante, CEO of HCA, Rajendra Yadav, General Secretary of Sri Chakra Cricket Club, and G Kavitha, president of Sri Chakra Cricket Club. The five people were arrested by the CID last week.
According to the CID, a case was registered following a complaint by Dharam Guruva Reddy, General Secretary of Telangana Cricket Association, over the alleged misappropriation of funds by Jagan Mohan and others.
“A Jagan Mohan Rao, in collusion with G Kavitha and Rajendra Yadav, forged documents of Sri Chakra Cricket Club, which was earlier known as Gowlipura Cricket Club (GCC), by forging signatures of C Krishna Yadav, who is president of GCC. Their forged documents were used as genuine, enabling Jagan Mohan to dishonestly gain entry into HCA as president,” Charu Sinha, Additional DGP, CID Telangana, had stated at the time of arrest of the five suspects.
