Hyderabad: Malkajgiri police to seal two spa centres over alleged illegal activities

Malkajgiri police will seal two spa and massage centres allegedly involved in immoral activities. Commissioner B. Sumathi said 47 cases were booked during a special drive, including cases under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, and warned strict action against repeat offenders.

Hyderabad: The Malkajgiri commissionerate police will be sealing two establishments where immoral activities were being organized under the garb of a spa and massage centre.

B Sumathi, Commissioner of Police, Malkajgiri said that during the special operation aimed at curbing illegal activities under the cover of body massage, the police had registered 47 cases including four cases under the The Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act.


“In two cases we found out that the owners of the massage centre are repeat offenders. The premises will be sealed following the due procedure of law,” said B Sumathi.

The official warned that the building owners will also face legal action if they show lethargy in verifying the purpose for which the premises is being taken on rent.

Sumathi, appealed to the people to inform the police about any illegal activities in their neighbourhood.
