Hyderabad: A man, Ramesh, who was attacked with a sickle by one Balaiah at Budvel in Rajendranagar on March 25, died while undergoing treatment here on Thursday morning.
According to the police, Ramesh (35), was attacked with the sharp weapon allegedly by Balaiah (36), at a local market after an argument over cattle fodder. Balaiah is said to have grabbed a sickle from a nearby shop and attacked Ramesh.
People who were at the spot rushed to Ramesh’s rescue and he was immediately shifted to a hospital, where he died early on Thursday.
The police, who had registered a case under Section 307 (murder attempt) of IPC have altered the section to 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code. Balaiah, who was involved in a murder case earlier too, was already arrested and is in judicial custody.
