Hyderabad man booked for sharing CSAM on Instagram
A man from Gajularamaram, Hyderabad, was booked by Jeedimetla police after being flagged by a US child protection agency for allegedly viewing and sharing child sexual abuse material on Instagram. Telangana Cyber Crime traced him via his IP address, but no arrest has been made yet.

Hyderabad: The police have registered a case against a man from Gajularamaram after he was allegedly found viewing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on Instagram and sharing links to such content with others.
The suspect, identified as Sanappa, came under the radar of a US-based child protection and monitoring organisation after his online activities were detected.
As per information available, the organisation had reportedly passed information about his activities through a tip line to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Based on the information shared by NCMEC, the Telangana Cyber Crime Police took up the investigation and traced the suspect using his IP address and associated mobile number. The details were subsequently forwarded to the Jeedimetla police.
Following the probe, Jeedimetla police registered a case against Sanappa and began further investigation into his online activities and the sharing of the prohibited material. No arrest has been made yet.
