Hyderabad: Man electrocuted near Ganesh mandapam in Falaknuma
A 33-year-old man, Bharat, died after being electrocuted while trying to remove a banner entangled in a high-tension cable near a Ganesh pandal in Falaknuma. Police have registered a case, and the body was taken for post-mortem
Hyderabad: A 33-year-old man died after getting electrocuted while removing a banner that got entangled in overhead electricity cable wire at a Ganesh pandal in Falaknuma on Sunday.
Bharat (33), a resident of RN Colony in Falaknuma, was fixing a banner near a Ganesh mandapam on Falaknuma Road when the incident took place. “A banner tied near a Ganesh mandapam got entangled in the cable wire. Bharath tried to remove it with an iron rod and fix it. The rod came in contact with the high-tension wire, and he got electrocuted,” said Falaknuma Inspector, K Adi Reddy.
A case is registered. The body was shifted to mortuary for post-mortem examination.
