Hyderabad: Man held for involvement in human trafficking
The alleged trafficker identified as Dawood, was apparently instrumental in sending around 30 people to Cambodia after assuring them with jobs in multinational companies.
Hyderabad: The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) arrested a criminal involved in human trafficking and remanded him.
The alleged trafficker identified as Dawood, was apparently instrumental in sending around 30 people to Cambodia after assuring them with jobs in multinational companies.
The victims, who are unemployed youth from across the country, eventually landed in call centres allegedly run by Chinese nationals and primarily established to commit cybercrime offences and dupe people across the globe.
The TGCSB had registered multiple cases in connection with the Cambodia human trafficking cases and investigating.
“Dawood, was paid a good amount as commission for every candidate. It is alleged, he was sending youth assuring of well-paid jobs in MNCs and cheating them,” said an official.
