Hyderabad: A 27-year-old man died, allegedly by jumping into the Durgam Cheruvu here on Wednesday morning.
The youngster was identified as Surapaneni Akhil Sai, a resident of Mounika Towers in Guttala Begumpet, Madhapur, and a native of Gudivada mandal of Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh.
According to the police, on Wednesday morning, Sai left his house for Durgam Cheruvu and after reaching the pedestrian walkway near Olive Bistro Hill, he allegedly jumped into the lake and drowned. On information, the local police reached the spot and with the help of a Disaster Response Force (DRF) team, retrieved the body.
“He is suspected to have been upset over personal issues and committed suicide,” the Madhapur police said. A case under Section 174 of CrPC was registered and investigation is on.
