Hyderabad: An accident involving two bikes resulted in the death of a mason at Shamirpet early on Sunday.
According to the police, the victim B Harikrishna (55), a resident of Shamirpet, was riding pillion on an Activa which was being driven by his friend Saleem. While they were going on the Rajiv Rahadari at Shamirpet, a bike came and hit them.
“Harikrishna and Saleem fell on the road and sustained injuries. Harikrishna died on the spot,” said V Sudheer Kumar, SHO Shameepet police station said.
The accident was recorded by the surveillance cameras installed on the stretch. The video shows Saleem moving towards the right of the road suddenly in order to take a turn at the NALSAR crossroads when the bike driven by Mutthu Raj of Chandanagar, rammed into the Activa.
All three persons had fallen on the road after the accident. Saleem and Mutthu Raj sustained injuries while Harikrishna died, said the police.
A case was registered and an investigation is going on.
