Hyderabad: A man killed his wife, suspecting her of infidelity, at Sanathnagar in the city on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the police, the woman, G Renuka (38), and her husband, M Naresh (40), lived at Vasavi Brindavanam Apartment in Fatehnagar, Sanathnagar. The couple has three daughters.

“Since last four days, the couple were quarrelling as Naresh suspected Renuka was speaking to someone over the phone. On Tuesday between 11 am and 12 pm, Naresh had an argument with his wife over the same issue. In a fit of rage, the man took a knife and slit the throat of Renuka, leading to her death. He fled away from the place,” said Inspector Sanathnagar, D Ashok.

The children who were present in the house noticed their father had killed their mother and rushed out screaming. Alerted by the cries, the local people rushed to the house and found the woman lying in a pool of blood. On information passed by the local people, the police, along with a clues team, reached the spot and shifted the body for post-mortem examination to the mortuary. After killing his wife, Naresh escaped from the place.
