Hyderabad: Man posing as TSRTC vigilance officer arrested for extortion
Kachiguda police arrested a man who posed as a TSRTC vigilance officer and extorted money from bus conductors. The accused filmed conductors at halting points and later threatened them over phone calls, police said.
Hyderabad: The Kachiguda police arrested a conman who impersonated himself as a vigilance officer of TSRTC and extorted money from the bus conductors.
According to the police, the arrested person, K Sudheer (43), a resident of Saroornagar in the city using a camera filmed the RTC conductors who were asleep in the long distance places. Later, he would call them over phone and introduce himself as an RTC vigilance officer. “Sudheer then threatened the conductors and extorted money from them,” said B Balaswamy, DCP (east).
The suspect is involved in 10 cases registered in different police stations in the tri-commissionerates.
