Hyderabad: Man sentenced to 3 years for attempted rape, harassment of minor
The convict, B Anjaneyulu (27), a construction worker from NTR Nagar in LB Nagar, repeatedly stalked and harassed the girl. Despite warnings from her family, he persisted in his actions.
Hyderabad: A local court on Friday sentenced a vman to three years rigourous imprisonment in the case of harassment and attempt to rape of a minor girl reported in LB Nagar in 2016. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 6,000 on him.
The convict B Anjaneyulu (27), a construction worker from NTR Nagar in LB Nagar, stalked the girl and harassed her. Even after warning from her family members, he continued the harassment. He attempted to rape her in her house, in the absence of her parents.
Based on a complaint, a case was registered at LB Nagar police station and he was subsequently arrested.
The court further ordered a compensation of Rs 1 lakh to the girl.
