“Considering the complexity of the procedure, the patient’s body had to be cooled down to 18 degrees, and blood flow in the body had to be stabilized. Post procedure, the patient was kept under observation for a week, and was discharged on August 26,” said Dr. Vivek Babu Bojjawar, CT surgeon, SLG Hospitals.
Due to fragile health and complexity of the procedure performed, the patient has to undergo regular health check-ups in the near future. Senior cardiologist, Dr. Bhanu Kiran Reddy, Head, ICU, Dr. Suhasini Tirumala, Cardiac Anaesthetist, Dr. Amar and others were involved in the procedure.
