Hyderabad: In a recent auction, the Telangana Regional Transport Authority (RTA) raised an impressive Rs 46.10 lakh through the sale of fancy vehicle number plates at the Manikonda office on Thursday.

According to RTA officials, several high-value numbers fetched substantial amounts during the registration number auctions.

Among the top bids, the highest was for the number plate ‘TG 07 AA 9999,’ which went for a staggering Rs 15,01,999 and was claimed by Sophus Infra Company.

The other bids for a fancy number plate auction in Hyderabad included ‘TG 07 AB 0009’ for Rs 8,10,000 claimed by Epitome Projects and ‘TG 07 AB 0099’ sold for Rs 2,75,000 to Lead Space.

The demand for personalised registration numbers continues to grow, with car owners expressing a variety of preferences. As the popularity of fancy numbers continues to soar, the transport department anticipates sustained interest and revenue from future registration number auctions.
