Hyderabad: MANUU gets new registrar

Hyderabad: Prof. SK Ishtiaque Ahmed, Persian expert from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, has joined Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) as the new registrar here on Tuesday. He has taken over charge from Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, Dean, School of Education and Training who was holding the office of the registrar in-charge.
Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed is an expert in Advance Translation & Interpretation, Indo-Persian Literature, Modern Persian Literature, Culture Studies (Persian World) and obtained his PhD from JNU. Having more than 22 years of teaching & research experience, 17 doctoral research works were completed under his supervision, eight more were in process and 25 MPhil were awarded, the MANUU said.
Meanwhile, Dr. Md. Zair Hussain has recently joined as Controller of Examination, MANUU. He was the in-charge Principal of MANUU ITI Bengaluru. He has taken over the charge from Mirza Farhatullah Baig.
