Hyderabad: The city-based MaxiVision Super Speciality Eye Hospitals and Aswini Netralayam, which was launched by noted ophthalmic surgeon Dr AAV Ramalinga Reddy, on Sunday announced a joint venture to establish a chain of comprehensive eye care hospitals in Guntur and Prakasam districts. The collaboration titled ‘Maxivision Dr Ramalinga Reddy Eye Hospitals’ will commence its operations in December, 2021, a press release said.
This is the second-such collaboration of MaxiVision eye hospitals with a local reputed eye surgeon. In October, 2019, the MaxiVision group had entered into a similar collaboration with senior eye surgeon from Hanamkonda, Dr Sarath Babu Chilukuri and established ‘Sharat MaxiVision Eye Hospitals’, Warangal.
“Such collaborations help us to grow. We target to be the second-largest eye care chain in India, with around 100 hospitals having 400 doctors and super specialists,” Chairman, MaxiVision Group, Dr GSK Velu during launch on Sunday, said.
Founder, MaxiVision Hospitals, Dr Kasu Prasad Reddy said that such collaborations have opened-up many possibilities for doctors who own large hospitals but are not able to justify or balance both clinical practice and enterprise growth.
MaxiVision Group COO Dr Sudheer, Aswini Netralayam MD Dr AAV Ramalinga Reddy, Dr Sharat Babu Chilukuri and other senior doctors were present.
