Hyderabad: Medicover Hospitals on Sunday organised its second-phase of Mega Covid Vaccination Drive at Hitex Madhapur in which close to 20,000 individuals were vaccinated. A similar vaccination drive organised by the hospitals last month covered about 40,000 persons in a single day.
The organisers ensured that the vaccination being held in collaboration with Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) was conducted in an orderly manner following all the required Covid protocols.
To ensure comfort, over 20 counters were set up and the vaccination was conducted between 6.30 am and 4 pm, which ensured maximum participation. Coinciding with the ongoing Haritha Haram initiative, a tree plantation drive was also held in the same venue where a sapling was given to every person who got vaccinated.
Nursing stations for lactating mothers, emergency ward with five beds in each hanger and tea, coffee and biscuits were provided for individuals who got vaccinated. The doctors at Medicover Hospitals said that the second Covid wave has made people realise the importance of vaccines. However, there is still a lot of vaccine hesitancy among people and the mega vaccination was held to encourage them to get vaccinated.
