Hyderabad: A 23-year-old woman, reportedly mentally challenged, was allegedly raped and impregnated by a man and his minor son on the city outskirts.

As per available information, the woman, who lost her father, was staying with her mother. She was sexually exploited by the suspects who are known to the victim and belong to the same neighbourhood.

It is suspected that she was repeatedly sexually assaulted by the father and son duo for the past few months, when the woman was alone in the house and her mother, a construction worker, had gone to work.

According to the police, the incident came to light when the victim fell ill and was taken to hospital. The doctors tested and confirmed she was four-months pregnant. On being questioned, she revealed to her mother what happened, after which they lodged a complaint with the police.

The police are investigating.
