Hyderabad: The Mehdipatnam police on Friday arrested one Mofil (22), in connection with the murder of a minor boy murder which was reported earlier this week.

According to police, the suspect and the victim identified as Gularez Alam(17), both natives of Bihar, were working at a juice centre in Tolichowki. Mofil worked as a chat master while Alam was employed as a helper.

On April 7, a minor dispute between the two escalated into a heated argument. In a fit of rage, Mofil allegedly attacked Alam with a steel ladle, striking him multiple times on the head.

The victim suffered severe head injuries, lost consciousness, and was immediately shifted to a private hospital by the shop owner and co-workers. He later died while undergoing treatment.

The suspect was produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody.
